Tiaxa hired me to design their new website, as well as the development of icons for cell phones, ads and brochure.

Based in Miami [ USA ] Tiaxa had offices in four latin american countries, including Brazil [ city of São Paulo ]. The inicial project was presented to me, in Curitiba, by one of the analists. For a whole year, using instant messengers and the telephone, I acted as the only Designer among a team composed by Journalists, Publicists, Programmers and experts from diferent parts of the globe. It's been a true valuable experience that gave me the chance to meet diferent people and to work in a business that was just borning: mobile entertainment and information.

The site was created in portuguese, spanish and english and had the purpose of creating a community of cell phone users in the latin american market, offering services such as SMS, icons and rings, email, calendar, jokes, news, culture, weather, games,... converging cells and the web.

Through Tiaxa you could send messages to cell phones and get access to a number of free services in your cell, like news about sports, events, movies, cultural life,... and besides, have fun choosing icons, rings and games. Tiaxa also offered e-mail, calendar and virtual secretary, converging phone and internet.

We have developed interfaces for the e.mail, calendar services and secretary, integrating the cell phone with the virtual world.

Partnership between Tiaxa and Warner Chappel made possible to offer the users a wide range of musics from all styles.

The design should have a pulsating youth, and at the same time be trustful and vibrant.

 





 

_content


Tiaxa members had access to a huge content and news written daily by our Journalists in each country. Themes could be chosen according to the wish of the user, who would receive in his cell the desired subject.

Crazy and surreal. Themes were suggested by everyone and had always to be presented in a very atractive visual language. I designed hundreds of icons for many categories of subjects. Considerating all technologies available at the time (2000-2001), they were meant to reach the widest possible targets and interests.

I have also designed our maskot - actually a dog that really lived at the Miami GQ.
