Der Herold is Christian Science
monthly magazine. The logo was inspired in the German design and its
precise, straight lines translated into a square grid in which the
letters were compounded. The counterform using the Gestalt psychology
gives some secret messages from this religious phylosophy.
The graphic project follows the directions given
by the logo. Here, some details from the cover.
The first issue was about renewal
and how problems can be solved with attitude and faith. The photo
montage shows a Crocus which blossoms in the middle
if the ice emerging from a frozen ground to a warm sky behind
it.
The logo is meant to work with colorful
backgrounds and mostly in white.
